College life is one of a major event in any person's life. It usually means a plethora of different things and all these things are extremely important from the necessary experience point of view. Joining and going off to college means that the first time a person is gonna be on his/her own. Some students, however, prefer to live in an apartment, UOFT Student Housing, or rent a house. The idea is that you live in more comfortable surroundings, you have a better chance to pick the roommates that you want, you do not need to worry about sharing a bathroom with so many people, and so on. This seems like a very good idea on the surface, but there is another very important side to this story that is not being addressed. That would be, of course, the social aspect of dorm life. Living in the University of Toronto Dorms is a social experience like no other social experience you will have. When you live in a dorm in your freshman year of college, you will meet people you would otherwise have never met, and you will spend time with people in a way that would be very difficult in other circumstances. Living in a University of Toronto Housing means you can set your alarm later in the mornings, as student accommodation is usually located very close to the main university campus. Choosing to live in a dorm can mean a social experience that will not get anywhere else.
